Introducing Our Community’s Local Businesses


We are thrilled to introduce several local businesses that have joined our community. Each of these businesses is led by parents like us, striving to provide valuable services and foster connections within the East End. Here’s a brief overview:


1.   Hull Life Insurance (Sarah, Charlie’s Mom)  



 Purpose:   Educating about life, disability, and critical illness insurance.

 Goals:   Provide solutions for individuals, families, and businesses during difficult times.

Community Connection:   Helping community members understand and access insurance benefits.

Sarah is non judgemental, honest, and genuinely passionate about her work. She is part of a family business and understands the need for support in the challenging early stages of parenting.


Lashes by Chantal  




  Purpose:   Beauty services, including lash lifts and tints.

  Goals:   Meet parents, and improve services.

   Community Connection:   Offering relaxing beauty services for busy parents.

3.   Babywearing Melody  





   Purpose:   Teaching babywearing techniques.

   Goals:   Bring caregivers together through babywearing.

Melody has hosted many events for east end mom friends and has proven to be a valuable source of information for parents in our community.



4.   Little Bugs Sensory (Jen Ashley)  



   Purpose:   Childcare and drop-in classes for caregivers and babies/toddlers

   Goals:   Foster closer relationships and support within the community.

   Community Connection:   Providing childcare and sensory classes, and a fun space for caregivers to get together!

5.   Thrift for Seven (Ashley Aseltine)  



  Purpose:   Kids consignment shop.

  Goals:   Offer affordable, sustainable options for families.

  Community Connection:   Connecting families through preloved children’s items.

6.   Dr. Laura von Hagen  

Purpose:   Naturopathic medicine.

Goals:   Support business growth and provide evidence-based information to new moms.

Dr. Laura is a valued member of the east end mom friends community. As a mom of two, she is always willing to help out her peers maneuver the crazy world of parenting.


7.   Fluent Books  

   Purpose:   Selling multilingual children’s books.

  Goals:   Make it easier to teach mother tongues and offer free language resources.

   Community Connection:   Providing access to diverse language resources.

8.   Callizraphy  - Liza (east end auntie friend!)

Purpose:   Custom calligraphy services.

Goals:   Share calligraphy for various events and gifts.
